I swear by Alison Roman’s first two cookbooks — “Nothing Fancy” and “Dining In” — but as a baker, I was especially excited about her newest release, which centers around desserts. You’ll find recipes for cookies, cake, quick breads, pies and ice cream, all of which are approachable for chefs of all levels.
